About Islamic Center
The Islamic Center of Smithfield was established in Ramadan 2014. This Center serves the community of Johnston County in NC and the neighboring counties; also, the center serves the travels on HWY 95 north and south that are crossing NC. Members of the masjid have increased from between 10-20 members in 2014 to 400 – 500 members in 2022. And the number is increasing everyday Alhamdulillah.

Allah Almighty said in chapter 9 verse 18:
"The mosques of Allah are only to be maintained by those who believe in Allah and the Last Day and establish prayer and give zakah and do not fear except Allah, for it is expected that those will be of the [rightly] guided."
The Prophet, peace of Allah be upon him, has said,
“Whoever builds a mosque for the sake of Allah no matter how small, even if it is as the size of a bird’s nest, Allah will build for that person a House in paradise.” [Reported by ibn Mâjah 906 and deemed authentic by Al-Albâni].
We have many projects that we are working on to expand out masjid and services, please donate generously.
